News

Well I am currently waiting on an email off of a publishers to see if they will read Runaway. Fingers crossed. Hopefully this time I don't get rejected again!

 Anywho have I got news for you at the moment I am wanting to start my new book Don't Wake Me. This book was originally meant to be about a girl who gets drugged up to sleep for how ever long she wan'ts until her dreams can be projected onto a Television. I found it too hard to work with and boring so didn't want my readers bored so I had a nap and I had a dream about people exchanging microchips and they could see people's dreams and what they dreamt of.

 So after some thinking I have decided to change the whole plot of Don't Wake Me to a scientist who invents the microchips and people get them fitted into their minds and one day the microchips take over everybody by them exchanging the microchips for a few years and they go into a coma and they're lost in their dreams. The main character is Ashley Springs she's got black hair, grey eyes a tan and about 5ft 7 inches tall. I like imagining  Ashley as a happy go lucky seventeen year old with a bit of aspects of myself.

 I am currently waiting for confirmation off of the model provider to allow me to publish the absolutely stunning front cover on Goodreads.com I love it you're all going to love it. I've got confirmation off of the background provider and they're cool with it just waiting on the model.

Bad News and Editing

so my last week of spring break and I have been nonstop editing the Runaway series! I am such a bad writer had so many mistakes in the series! So I feel pretty bad about myself. I'm trying again to get published my mum sent the email to a publishers today asking if they would read Runaway it's the second time going under the microscope hopefully they'll accept.

 So last night I saw a competition to be published in the final book of the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson and what you had to is write the final chapter of Nevermore. To see the competition rules and regulations you had to sign up, it took me an hour to sign up and when I got onto reading the rules I was crushed. Along with the published copy you got an IPad 2 and signed Maximum Ride books (I didn't care about the IPad 2) and when I scrolled down to enter it is only for the US, only people who lived in the US were allowed, I love James Patterson's books and really wanted to enter but I live in Britain and have to miss it.... So yeah I did cry because I want to be published into a book really badly it might never happen and I'm living with my head in the clouds but I'm still following dream and when I decide it's enough I will stop trying.

So yeah that's my little bad news and a little about Editing.

Bad News and Reviews

Damn what a nightmare, I couldn't access my blog for four days! I've been meaning to post one but couldn't access it. Damn.

Okay today I wanted to do a review on the Fallen Series by Lauren Kate

So this is a series of four books Fallen, Torment, Passion and Rapture and it's like a love triangle between Lucinda Price (Luce Price), Daniel Grigori and Cameron Briel. So it's like a whole big thing because Daniel is trying to keep Luce alive because (SPOILER ALERT) he's a fallen angel and she only lives till she's seventeen. This book is based in Thunderbolt, Georgia US where Luce gets sent to a reform school called Sword and Cross.  But today I wanted to focus on the first book in particular but might go to the others...

At first I loved this book now it is dead meat. At first I felt I have now grown up and a new door of books had been open and that got me reading books my age.

 The authors eyes are just money signs at the moment. Every time I reread it, it gets more boring yes when a new Fallen book comes out I'll reread it but when an authors just focusing on one fan base i.e country your bound to be pissed and find this series boring.

 I like the characters they're cool but the author is getting kinda old fashioned in her writing and making no sense she should have left Fallen as an only book because now the series is just confusing and the story lines been lost.

Okay what I said there is true at the moment Lauren Kate is focusing on her Australian fan base more than her other country fan base and she brought out a book called Fallen in Love

and that had no meaning to the Fallen books at all it gave you an insight into the characters love lives yes but it was the characters we already know lots about. I think this was just a call for money. I really enjoyed this book I was happy with it because it was Lauren's writing when she first started out as an author and she's just gone down hill from there.

 So like when I talk about her writing making no sense and being old fashioned Lauren does tend to repeat herself a little too much in her writing. I have noticed that a lot like you can repeat yourself a little bit to keep your readers up to date but on every page mentioning Luce and Daniels curse is boring. In the third book she completely lost the story line there was just nothing there at all it took me a month to read it when it usually takes as little as four days to read that is how much Lauren dropped her talent, if I was her editor I wouldn't have even allowed that on book shelves and told her to go back to the drawing board.

Let me talk about the main character Luce, I seriously cannot believe this character because Daniel is trying to save her she goes off and has a tantrum and starts jumping through Announcers (weird shadow things) like a retard wanting answers because Daniel won't give her any. Now if my boyfriend did that I wouldn't put my whole friends in danger I'd leave it at that wouldn't ask him again but no Luce goes into the Announcers meets a nice gargoyle named Bill (who I nicknamed Billy Bob by the way) and he befriends her even though he is creepy ass weird I would have walked away from him but no she gets to be friends with him and soon he's the devil and she puts her friends in danger and they have nine days to survive. Dumb idea much I think so...

  So this book series is going to be made into movies and guess who is making it DISNEY, yes DISNEY is making the movies I was so ashamed at Lauren for picking that because Disney is absolutely crap at making teen movies if it were my book I would want a better deal than Disney, Disney is the lowest you can go with book transferring into a movie and I'm being nice about that. So the movie was supposed to be out in 2012 but the only movie update we're allowed to know is that the scripts been finished in January 2012 nothing else we're banned from the rest of the information.

so yeah my little rant about this series is over thank you guys for reading bye!

News, News, oh and More News!

Wow long time no speak! Damn! Okay *giggles* I posted about a few months ago now the Runaway series with the really crap front covers well I got in touch with some models and background providers and made some new and improved ones (definitely a keeper)

 As you can see they're much more professional then the others (not saying the others were) but yeah. It is difficult doing this kind of thing but in the end you get used to making your own book covers.  Making your own book covers makes you latch onto your character more than somebody else doing it so yeah that's why I like making my own covers :)

I absolutely adore Burns cover I spent 3 weeks working on it and loved the outcome. I love how much depth it is. It is a definitely best till last :)















SO BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Seeing as the Runaway series is over now (I cried at the 4th book), I have started writing a new book. So with this book I had writers block before it (I hate writers block) but at the moment I am struggling to stop writing this book the main character is saying I need to carry on with it so I am doing.

I am also writing 4 other books but they're on hold until I've got Fatal Wounds out of the way and I can get some inspiration for them. Fatal Wounds is just coming out nowhere at the moment I have got no inspiration at all but I still can't stop writing it. My good friend Leonelle Teopaco for bringing this idea into my head and that is purely where the main character Leon has stemmed from.

 Well on Saturday 7th of January, my friend is holding a Sweet 16 birthday bash with music and booze and she's invited me to come along. But I don't know what to do, she told me not to come in boring clothing like jeans or t-shirt but I have nothing party like, just jeans and t-shirts! So I'm at a dilemha and told my friend that I'll see how I feel by the end of the week.

My Work

Hey guys!

 I'd like to introduce myself I'm a new member and starting to get the hang of things on here. It is kind of hard but I'll get used to it over time.

Runaway

<--- This is my novel Runaway, it is a series of 4 books and got a lot of people who like it already. I have tried getting published but unfortunately rejected but all is good I don't mind it, it's a better look next time thing.



Tourniquet

<--- This is the second novel in the Runaway series. I have only just gotten this one finished. I haven't tried getting this one published yet because the readers will be very confused if this one got through with out the first book.


Forgotten

<--- This is the third book of the Runaway series. It is called Forgotten. It isn't finished with just one more chapter to go until it is!



Burn

<--- This is the final book in the Runaway series. I think I am going to be crying while writing this at the moment all that I have uploaded is the prologue. After Forgotten is finished I will definately be getting onto this one.
